Noah, Mommy, and Daddy Week of Fun Day 3

Day 3 brought us to the Jelly Belly Factory for a tour!

We waited in line for one hour and 12 minutes to get to the tour. Crazy busy.

We got to the front of the line and they closed the gate. We had to wait for the next tour to start, so Victor and Noah made a stop at the Sample Bar.

Noah was excited to find baby wipe flavored jelly beans. Yes. Baby wipe jelly beans.

He wasn't too sure at first.

But in the end, he declared it good! Victor and Olivia both thought it tasted like, well, baby wipes. Sort of soapy and gross.

We have the hats, so we must be ready for the tour!

Enjoying the jelly bean art while we wait for the entire group to gather.

Ok, cameras weren't allowed once the tour began, so everything you see here is taken (quite ingeniously) though a ViewMaster type toy in the gift shop.

Pretty neat, right? It's like you were there. No, actually, open a Pixie Stick candy and inhale it while viewing the pictures. It'll be more authentic that way.

Halfway though the tour, Noah announced that he was going to work there when he got older. We take that as a sign that he had a great time!

Noah, Mommy, and Daddy Week of Fun Day 2

Day 2--Spelunking we will go!

We took a trip to Black Chasam Cavern for a trip down into the cave. Noah was very excited and wanted to know if we'd see igneous rock or just sedimentary and metamorphic. Too smart for his own good.

 Down into the depths.

Why did he decide to wave just at that moment?

 Down a little deeper...

This formation is what this cave is known for. These strawlike structures are called helectites and form when moisture is forced through tiny crevices in the rock.

These are roots from an oak tree 60 feet above on the surface.

The antique firetruck in the parking lot was fun as well!

Noah, Mommy, and Daddy Week of Fun Day 1

Spring Break is here, so we all have the week off to spend some important family time together. Noah as excited to call it Noah, Mommy, and DADDY Week of Fun instead of just Noah and Mommy Week of Fun like we had during Christmas break.

The first day of fun was spent here in Concord at Pixieland Park. A great time was had by all.

Noah was very excited to be able to drive.

We were worried that the tea cups would be too scary, but as you can see, he loooooved them!

Olivia like the dragon roller coaster.

 Noah? Not so much.

 The Froghopper was great, though.

 As were the airplanes.

That's a happy dance if I've ever seen one.

He was brave enough to go on the Froghopper again by himself!

Fun times with the coin operated trucks.

Chicken and Mousey Noah Rattie ordered a funnel cake. We had to help them eat it.
Oh and yes, Chicken has a new beak. He also has new feet thanks to our lovely and handy neighbor. Poor Chicken was never really meant to be a toy and his yellow parts were getting very thin.

We took a stroll through the park near Pixieland and then decided we still needed to have more fun.

To the playground we went!

Fun, fun times!!
