Noah and Mommy Week of Fun-Day 4

Thursday started off a little slow because both Noah and I were running mild fevers and were just generally unmotivated. After we both rested, we were ready to go out in the late afternoon, so we headed to a little park in a nearby neighborhood for a local adventure.

After sliding, Noah went exploring.

He found a dry creek bed, so we went on an adventure.

It was getting pretty dark, so we had to head back.

One last swing in the dark.

We stopped at the craft store on our way home and both got a kick out of this giant mug. Noah said that baby could go for a swim in it!

Someone Got the Flu

Even after getting FluMist this fall, Noah had the privilege of being his doctor's first positive flu test this year.

After a lot of rest, extra hugs, and a prescription for Tamiflu, he's feeling much better! Thankfully Victor and Olivia managed to avoid getting sick.

Decorating a ukulele while in the recovery phase.

We spent some much needed time with the Lopezjones family. The kids all had a blast and the grown ups had a great time catching up.

Noah and Mommy Week of Fun-Day 3

Today's adventure was initially going to be a hike in Redwood Regional Park at Noah's request, but as soon as I pulled into the parking lot he started crying and saying that I was wrong and that that wasn't Redwood. After 10 tense minutes, we discovered that Joaquin Miller Park was really the park he was thinking about and thankfully it's just a short drive away from Redwood, so we headed there instead. When we got to Joaquin Miller, he said we were at the right place, but about 30 minutes later he started asking about all the banana slugs we found and the waterfall we hiked to, which never happened at Joaquin Miller. I think he was confusing Joaquin Miller with Big Basin State Park and thinking that they were one in the same. Oh well. We had a great time exploring Joaquin Miller!

 More time in trees.

 Exploring some volcanic looking rock.

 Silly tongue picture.

Not a bad photo for a 4 year old!

We hung the camera in the tree.

It was a fantastic outing!
