It's Raining!!

What else is there to do on a rainy day, but go for a walk in your rain boots?!

Planting

It's Spring and we got a break in the much needed rain, so we planted our garden over the weekend. Noah planted the peas and we also have tomatoes, green onions, and cilantro growing. The strawberry plant we got as a housewarming gift 4 years ago is still growing strong as well. Now we have to wait for harvest time!

Phone Pictures

It's about time to look through my phone for pictures of all the fun things we do when we forget to bring a camera. :)

The morning taming of the bed head. Reading books while sitting on the kitchen floor often makes us late.

Speaking of reading, here's Noah's newest talent.

 Pre-taming of the bed head.

Sometimes our living room turns into a train yard.

 Marty! Crumbs!!

Olivia has (hopefully had) a mouse in her office. He dug a little tunnel in her plant.

Tired boy is pooped after a walk around the neighborhood. He probably wasn't really as up to going out as he said he was, but we figured fresh air would do him some good. This was a while back when he had a fever for a few days. The cup has the last of his Pedialyte.

 Sick little man snuggles.

An awesome stop on the way home. Roadwork!!!

 Pretending to be a backhoe.

 Helping make dinner. Yum!

Victor ran in the Marine Mammal Center's Run for the Seals race, so we bundled up to head out to Rodeo Beach on a cold Saturday morning.

Sliding down the embankment to the sand.

He'd run and then jump to land on his bottom and slide.

He probably did this 15 times. Great fun!

 Look, it's Wolverine!

Noah found the perfect tree to sit in while pretending to be a bird.

 Fly, fly!

 He's laying an egg.

Victor dropped an Easter egg underneath him while he was pretending.

He was excited to find it there, but a little disappointed that nothing had "clucked out". Why say hatched when you can say clucked out?

There goes Victor at the start of the race.

 There goes Noah.

Wait, Noah's taking a side route.

Look who came in first place! He was too short to break the ribbon, so he didn't count. Oh yeah, and that detour he took avoided the entire course and popped out at the finish line.

Victor came in 5th and Noah was there to meet him at the finish line.

Post race snuggles. Noah promptly said, "Daddy's all wet!" Sweat and a spilled water cup will do that to a guy...

Noah then went up to the Center to diagnose some animals. He's a vet, you know. According to Noah, this harbor seal had worms in his stomach.

This sea lion was having seizures.

And had a broken flipper as well.
For those of you familiar with the MMC, you will recognize these as the ailments of the model sea lion in the lobby.

Breakfast stop with Mommy! Bagel and whipped cream...er...hot chocolate.

 Tie dyed friends.

Sad that he doesn't rule the world.

 It's hard to be three.

Especially when being 3 doesn't give you permission to do anything you want. His right arm is back and hand about to come down in a definitive movement with the shout of "I DON"T WANT TO!". He has that move down to a science. Here he is at 17 months with throwing a similar fit.

Ahh...memories.

Thankfully, life was made better with a stop at Whole Foods and a shamrock cookie decorating station. That frosting tasted disgusting by the way.

A fun stop at the Walnut Creek Model Railroad to check out trains. Such fun!
