Happy Halloween!!

 He started the night by reviewing his bug chart. It's important for bats to know what is available to eat.

Off he went! He was really excited to see a few porch lights on. He's the only trick or treater in our neighborhood, so there are a few people who specifically wait for him, but there were a lot of dark doorways.

 He got confused about whether to say "Trick or Treat" or "Happy Halloween" so he said "Happy Trick or Treat" on more than one occasion. He was a very polite trick or treater and never missed saying thank you.

 He impressed one lady because he only took one candy from her bucket. When she asked if he'd like another, he responded "no thank you" with a smile.

 All in all, we found 8 houses. It was the perfect amount of candy. 

 Marty was hoping to score a treat when Noah's eyes were closed.

Halloween Party

Our friends invited us to a Halloween block party on Sunday. For this party, Noah dressed as a frog, but I'm realizing that he got hot so quickly, I didn't even take any pictures of him in the costume! It was an unseasonably warm late October weekend.

 He just wanted to sit in a chair in the shade.

 He did get involved in a cake walk type game.

 His prize for winning was a green Frankenstien rice krispy treat.

Noah held court with the babies. He was explaining to them that they were too little to drink from drink boxes. Ooh, and you can see his frog costume on the back of his chair!

Boo at the Zoo

After the Havest Festival, we went to the Oakland Zoo for Boo at the Zoo, but by this point it was crazy hot and neither of his costumes were acceptable, so he did yet another wardrobe change into some shorts and a t-shirt.

Also, because Noah goes to the zoo often, we just did what he wanted to do which was just hanging out in the Children's Zoo and playing.

 He's pretending to be an otter in the otter den.

 Who doesn't love a kid sized door?

 This is the only animal he wanted to see, and this is about the extent of his interaction with the goats and sheep.

Olivia did convince him to check out the leaf cutter ants, though. They're cool!

Preschool Harvest Festival

On Saturday, Noah's school had a party for all the families. Noah had a fun time. He started off as a bat, but that costume was really hot so he switched to another costume halfway through.

Here's his stoplight costume that he had underneath the bat.

 Olivia started the whole stoplight thing and Noah insisted on one for himself.

Back to being a bat after lunch.
