Camping at McArthur Burney Falls

Camping with friends. In her first 5 months, Samantha has gone camping 4 times. Not too shabby.

This was a pretty remarkable waterfall! The water coming over the rim is from a stream. The lower level of water is coming from underground springs. It's a double fall!

The boys found some chalky outcroppings of diatomite.

 It was really dusty.

 Really really dusty.

Of course, after dusting themselves off, they promptly found another one.

 Yup, still dusty.

Samantha just slept through it all.

 Next stop was fishing.

 She woke up to watch.

No one actually caught anything. Well, Samantha "caught" this reed that she was fascinated with, but that was about it. They had a lot of fun anyway.

Sam had her first taste of real food on the trip. The apple was tasty to suck on.

 Noah stuck with cheese.

Noah fed Samantha bananas for breakfast.

Too many kids in the hammock.

The boys cleaned up the campsite after we packed up. They were so excited by all the bottle caps they found.

Definitely another great camping adventure!
