The Power Outage

Something fell apart underground that PG&E couldn't fix.

We had generator power only for more than two weeks and put up with a whole lot of construction, dust, noise, and power outages while they worked on the repairs. So glad they finally got it fixed!

Silly Samantha

Camping Weekend

We joined the Lopezjones kiddos and some other friends for a weekend trip to Huntly Mill.

That blue speck on the top of the hill is Noah. Don't worry, there were other folks up there with him.

Olivia and Sam enjoyed the views on the way up the granite.

We made it to the top with Noah!

 Ok, headed back down again.

Water sports at the bottom. Noah tried out the kayak.

He wasn't the most skilled boater, but he'll learn.

 Sam was super happy.

And then we set her head on fire. Only kidding of course.

 Lazy morning in the tent.

Ahhh!! Where'd the tent rain fly go? Oh, it's being packed up...

Ada was excited to hold Samantha. Samantha had enough of being passed from kid to kid.

But she's happy again.

Oakland Aviation Museum

Noah met up with his preschool class for their field trip to the Oakland Aviation Museum. He was really excited to not have to wear one of the purple shirts because he wasn't really a Daisy student anymore.

Let's Go Oakland!

Fun night at the A's Game.

Goofy Sam on the BART ride home.

Goodness! We're Behind!

Sorry for the neglected postings. With Olivia going back to work and the kiddos starting with a new sitter, the blog just sort of fell off the radar. No fear, though. We're still here!

 Bedtime stories with Daddy.

 Hello!

 Don't mind me...just chewing on a rat's ear...

She fell asleep in her carseat! She hated the car for a very long time and would scream hysterically with every drive. This nap was a turning point. She's doing much better in the seat now.

 It was hot.

Noah read a book about bobbing for apples.

He wanted to give it a try.

He found it to be harder than he thought, but was very excited to get this one!

He perfected his technique and ate 4 apples that day.

Delicious!
Oh, and that contraption behind him is the charger for our fancy new Nissan Leaf! It's all electric and super fun.
