Party Time!

This year's party had a dinosaur theme for a dinosaur loving 5 year old.

 Digging for fossils.

He reallllllly wanted to be the one to win "pin the head on the fossil" and couldn't understand why he didn't.

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to.

Decorating binoculars for the dinosaur nest hunt.

 Getting nest hunting instructions.

 Look! A clue!!

 Trying to decipher the map.

 We found the nest!!

 Hatching dinosaur eggs.

 Look, baby dinosaurs!

 Building a dinosaur home.

Ada really like digging for gems in the fossil pits.

 Time for cake!

Tired of all the fun and ready to play with new toys.

They were Hide-a-saurses. Very rare.

Lawrence Hall of Science

Noah's friend had a birthday party at Lawrence Hall of Science.

Doesn't every party start with climbing on a whale?

 That's Noah!

The kids got to meet a few animals.

They had a lot of fun watching the chinchilla run around.

This is what Noah was most looking forward to seeing. The fossils!!

 Ooh, a T-rex head!

 And a Triceratops too!

This Mastodon was found right here on Mt. Diablo! Noah was excited to hear that years and years ago, mastodons probably walked right on the land where our house is.

 Uncovering a fossil discovery.

The big exhibit was of giant bugs. Super fun!

He had a blast playing outside as well.

Our growing family with a beautiful view.

 Overlooking the entire Bay Area.

That's Berkeley and Emeryville in the foreground, the Bay Bridge in the middle, and San Francisco out on the horizon.

 Enjoying the mirrors.

 Fort building.

 The finished product!

Just crawling through some DNA on the way back to the car.
