Snowshoeing

We took advantage of having Good Friday off to spend some family time in the snow. We started off on a hike towards Andersite Peak, but had entirely too much fun along the way to actually make it to the peak. Our friend Andrea came along for some snow fun as well.

First time on snowshoes...getting his snow legs.

Snow + Nap = Snap

Snow + Snuggles = Snowggles

Gee, I wonder why he was complaining that his knee hurt that evening...

Danger Lurks

We've been watching Discovery Channel's Frozen Planet series. Noah got a bit confused by the term 'danger lurks'. Here is his definition.

Take a Hike

On Sunday, we met up with some friends to go for a kid friendly hike (stroll) in Shell Ridge Open Space.

 Lookie! A frog!

Noah was much more interested in throwing handfuls of mud (and the occasional dry cow pie) into the pond.

Super cool grainery tree. Acorn Woodpeckers have stored acorns all over it.

Our hiking buddy had a great talent for calling frogs. He'd croak and they'd croak back.

Busy Saturday

On Saturday, Noah and Olivia met up with some friends at the Academy of Science in San Francisco.
The boys really like playing in the kid's play area.
 Captain Noah

I think the raccoon behind him just adds to the weirdness of this shot.

Grumpy boy didn't want his picture taken.

 What on earth?

He really wanted to be a chicken and sleep in the chicken coop.

The boys were pretending that they were chickens and this tunnel was their chicken coop.

Mesmerized by the cool water feature.

Looking up from the bottom of the rainforest.

 Oooh, fishies!!

Taking a stroll back to the car with his hand in his pants. Ug.
