Happy 3rd to Ada and Navi!

Our wonderful friends Ada and Navi had a 3rd birthday party this weekend. We all had a lot of fun, but the scary thing is, if the twins are turning 3, that means Noah's not that far behind! Yikes!

Ada looking very beautiful.

Noah and Elio playing trains.

It was a beautiful day for a party on the rooftop deck!

The birthday kids!

Look at Noah in these next few shots. He just makes me laugh!

What a gorgeous little lady she's becoming!

Navi, stoic and handsome as always.

Noah again edging his way in on those cupcakes.

All the kids.

What are you talking about mom?!

Noah was having a great time with these trucks. The big one he named Booneece and the little one is Bono. "Like the singer" he'll say.

This is his Farmer Hat, by the way. It's part of a cowboy costume, but he thinks it really should be everyday wear.

Victor and the kids playing with some of their new toys.

Navi on his Grandpa's head.

That night, Noah discovered the joy of a nice shower. Apparently, no more baths for him!

Bat Boy

We got this as a hand me down from Cousin Markus a while back and it finally fits! Noah had a great time being a "baby bat".

No need to cover your neck, he's a fruit bat!

He really really wanted to hang upside down.

 Another attempt.

 Climbing a tree.

 Upside down please?!

Finally, Olivia helped him into a headstand.

All good bats eventually have to take a break on the couch.

A Rainy Weekend

I think Noah needs some practice learning to eat ice cream from a cone.

There's a park next to the library, so we stopped for a quick truck drive in between showers after picking out some new books.

Someone had fun making and then eating jelly filled thumbprint cookies.

Yikes! Stripes!

Noah found his Baby Legs leg warmers in with some baby stuff. He calls them his baby socks and insisted on wearing them to bed one night and then to daycare under his flannel lined jeans the next day. I can't imagine how warm he must have been!

He wanted to add the mittens to his bedtime apparel, but they didn't last. After hugs and kisses, he decided they were too warm.

Hey, did we share that Red Fin now has some friends? There are 3 little minnow in there called White Clouds. There were also 3 snails. We're down to two now. You can see the remains of one right in the middle of the picture on the bottom. He was happily climbing the side of the tank when we left for the day, but all that was left in the evening was the shell. Someone was hungry for escargot I guess.

Another Trip to Tilden Park

This time, instead of visiting the Little Farm, we went for a ride (or 3) on the steam trains instead.

Is someone a little excited?!

Wiping the "rain" from the steam off his face.

Being a goofball while going through the tunnel.

The engineer's dog came along on the last ride of the day.

On the way home, we stopped to watch the sunset over the Bay.

Last short of the day.

Science!

A friend of ours connected us with a researcher who is writing a grant to learn more about the brain activity of children with Autism. She needed a "control" child to compare brain activity to and Noah fit the bill, so off we went to Stanford. He wore a funny hat with a bunch of wires on it while he watched and listened to a series of video and audio clips. He did very well and hopefully did his part to advance Autism research.

He really did have a fun time!
