Noah and Olivia went on a grand adventure to Mt. Diablo this weekend. Noah was so excited! He REALLY wanted to wear the backpack we bought him for Christmas so he could drink from the straw whenever he was thirsty.
Noah picked the path and Olivia just followed along behind. He loved every minute of it.

Snack on a green rock.
Hiking buddies. Not bad for a self timed shot with a toddler!

We found some Native American grinding holes for making acorn flour.
They of course needed to be splashed in.
Super awesome tree!

Lunch on a rock.
An apple for dessert on a different rock.
After our hike, we hopped back in the car and headed to the top! It's totally hikeable, but not something Olivia wanted to take on alone with a toddler!
It was a beautiful day. We even found our street! You can click on the picture to enlarge it. The city in the middle of the photo is Clayton, with Concord off behind it. You can see the Naval Weapons Station out near the hills in the back.
Noah loved the light on top. Olivia told him that he we can see this light from our house at night, but it's been so foggy lately, we haven't been able to show it to him!
