Do you know how hard it is to get 3 babies to all look in the same direction? Here's the whole crew.

Oh wow that's a big elephant seal!

Since Noah was about 5 weeks old, he has been joining Victor and Olivia at the Marine Mammal Center out in Saulsalito to volunteer on Sunday nights. While Victor cleans pens and feeds and medicates the sick animals, Noah and Olivia take care of all the note taking and charting that needs to be done. Sometimes Noah helps to prepare the diets and is already learning to sort fish.
This is a life sized model of an adult male elephant seal. All we see at the center are babies, though.

Music in the Park

Noah and his parents met up with their friends Sarah, Scott and Catherine for a concert in Todos Santos Park last week. We forgot about the camera until after the Drain family had left, but here are Noah and Victor enjoying the music. The City of Concord puts this on every Thursday and some Tuesdays during the summer, so there will be many more trips to come!

Hanging with Grandma and Grandpa

Noah hung out with his Grandma and Grandpa the other night while Victor and Olivia went out for a nice lunch and a little shopping as a Mother's Day gift. Noah had fun singing songs with Grandma and watching the Giants game with Grandpa.






Here are Noah and Grrandma and Grandpa's cat, Cosmo. Even though Noah now weighs in at 12 pounds, it'll be awhile until he can catch up with 22 pound Cosmo!

Noah's Crib Friends

One of Victor's former zoo volunteers gave us this mobile as a gift and Noah loves it! We call them his "friends" and he usually visits with them after getting his diaper changed while Victor or Olivia rinses out his diaper. While he doesn't sleep in his crib yet, he is getting to be quite the sleeper. So far this week we've had a 6.5 hour night and a 7.5 hour night. Mommy and Daddy are much happier people in the mornings!

Beads and Buttons!

Erik and Deanna gave us this book that their kids loved and Noah can't get enough of it.  His favorite pages are the beads and buttons.  Usually the buttons elicit a smile, but today's expression was even better!

2 month check up

Noah went to the doctor on Friday for his two month check up. His official stats are now 11 lbs. 12 oz., and 22 inches long. That means that he has gained 5 lbs. 2 oz. and 2.5 inches since he was born. Like we've said before, he's a good eater! He also got 3 shots and an oral vaccination. He was not very happy, but it wasn't anything that a few snuggles from Mommy and Daddy couldn't solve.
