Labor Day Camping

This year, camping was all about time at the lake.

Mary and Charlie brought in sand to make a beach and it was a big hit.

Cold weather calls for strange outfits. We'll be sad when she grows out of the flowerhead sweater.

Noah decided he was a ninja.

 See his serious ninja face?

Navi was proud to have found a piece of wood that looked like a gun.

 Happy Sam!

 Ada found a frog.

Navi had to check it out as well.

Noah just wanted to play in the water.

And roll in the sand...

 Naked boys in the water!

Sam and Quique relaxed on Doug's "fabulously gay" blanket.

This sums up what the kiddos were like all weekend.

 Oh so filthy.

 Jump!!

Nature nursing before heading home.

Ok, here's the rock picture. I have to apologize because the sun was in the absolute worst position for a picture this year!

Just Life

 Sam's a tummy sleeper.

Noah was super jazzed to find this giant bag of King's rolls. His favorite!

Sam just getting teeth at the end of August.

 Brother Sister snuggles.

 Giant baby feet!!

Whose crib is this?

Run For the Seals

Victor ran in the Marine Mammal Center's race again this year.

These cool little creatures were washed all over the beach.

 Noah made sand angels.

 And they're off!

He bettered his time by more than a minute, but again, didn't place. He was 5th this year, but there was some very strong competition!

First Day of Kindergarten

Noah started his first day of school today. He had been a bit nervous in the weeks leading up to today and this morning he even mentioned to Olivia that he was scared there were monsters in the shadows that looked like kids from his class. But, being the brave guy that he is, he ran right into his classroom, showed his teacher his new backpack, and fit right into the mix.

He wouldn't pose for a picture. He was in too big if a hurry to get to his classroom.

He looks a little nervous, but he did just fine and can't wait to go back tomorrow!
