Introducing Samantha!!

Olivia woke up at 4am Saturday morning and quickly realized that even though baby wasn't due until May 4th, obviously baby didn't want to wait because her water had broken!

Ready to head to the hospital.

We got checked in around 8:30am and got things going. Strong contractions started around 10 and Samantha Larkin Alm was born at 6:18pm on Satueday, April 19th after very very minimal pushing.

Victor got to cut the cord twice. Once right when she was born and then again to trim things up a bit.

Samantha weighed 7lbs 1.6oz and was 18 inches long.

She has about half a pound of cheeks!

More pictures coming soon!

Not Quite a Hike

Noah had grand plans of hiking during Spring Break, but in her current state, Olivia wasn't feeling it. As a compromise, they went to a park with a nice flat area for a stroll nearby.

Stuntman training.

Nature exploring.

He had such a great time. It was about as much of a hike as Olivia could handle, but enough for Noah to get out and enjoy.

Spring Break

Noah has Spring Break this week and Olivia has officially started maternity leave. That means lots of Mommy Noah time before little sister joins the crew.

Popping popcorn for lunch in our pajamas.

Why not take a midday nap? It's Spring Break!

Cookies and Cream ice cream with strawberries, chocolate sauce, and whipped cream balanced on a baby belly. Because why not?!

Children's Fairyland

We went to Fairyland in Oakland to celebrate a classmate's 5th birthday. Noah had a blast!

House of straw.

House of sticks.

Safe in his house of bricks.

The Alice in Wonderland ride.

The Owl and the Pussycat's pea green boat.

At the end of the clock tower slide.

Cardboard surfing

A Trip to The City

We went to SF to see a movie. No, not "Noah" although Noah was excited to see "his" movie poster. Victor got advanced tickets to Disney Nature's "Bears" through the zoo.

After the movie, we headed out to the playground that Noah loves because of the giant slides.

Enrique and the kids joined us for a bit as well.

This goofball kept us entertained on the BART ride home.

Snowshoe Time

We finally got enough snow to have snowshoe trip. Olivia decided she was too pregnant to go (and her snow clothes didn't fit anyway) so Noah and Victor made the trip up on Friday.

Noah is getting much better about keeping up on the trail...

...but that doesn't mean he can't have fun flopping anymore.

Noah's #1 goal was to build a snowman.

He was really proud to climb up this large snowbank as well.

Hi Mr. Snowman!

What's that you have there? A carrot nose?

Thanks, I'm hungry!
