Merry Christmas!

Someone sneaked into our bed overnight and then didn't want to get up in the morning!

After opening gifts at home, we headed out to Grandma and Grandpa's for more family time. Noah received another fossil kit and this one was much easier to excavate. He found 10 fossils!

Noah brought all his dinosaurs with him and he and Kendra had fun playing together.

Christmas Eve

Christmas Eve means gifts at Grandma and Grandpa's.

Cookie Night

Inappropriate Christmas cookies are an Alm family tradition. The kids got started with the tame cookies. 

Later, the adults got going with the less appropriate cookies assisted this year by some boozy chocolates. 

Great fun! 

Fossil Dig

Noah got this in a gift exchange. It was the perfect gift!

It supposedly has two fossils in it, but he hasn't found anything yet. Just keep digging. 

Santa Time

Noah wanted to see Santa. We haven't brought it up in a few years because he was so scared of him in the past, but he was excited enough to wait in a 45 minute long line to see him. He asked for dinosaurs. Imagine that!

It's a Girl!!

The little lady wasn't in the best position for photos, but we did see that she is indeed a she!

Noah's initial reaction upon hearing the news was to throw himself onto the floor and cry because he wanted a brother, but after close conversation, we realized that what he wanted was in fact a TWIN brother. We let him know that that couldn't happen and he seemed to be ok with a sister instead. He has purchased two toys for her and we found a onesie with a dinosaur on it so he's thinking this sister thing might be ok after all.

Road Trip Rest Stop Restlessness

We stopped for a leg stretch on our drive home from Oregon and had some fun getting the wiggles out. 

The Bet

Grandpa Art placed a bet with the grand kids. Anyone who could take 5 drinks from the water fountain at Lithia Park without making a face could win $2.  This sounds like an easy task, but Lithia water has high concentrations of lithium oxide and smells and tastes disgusting! Only the three oldest were up to the challenge. 

Dinner with a Legend

Olivia had the great honor of having dinner with John Carlos, most well know for his salute in the Mexico City Olympics in honor of human rights. It was a humbling and amazing evening and John Carlos is a peaceful and passionate man who will tell his story to any and all who will listen which is fantastic because it's a story everyone should hear 

Cousin Time

We all ended up in Oregon at the same time, so some family fun was in order!
