Hawaii Part 4

Falling behind here...sorry. Time to play catch up!

We went to the Honolulu Zoo while we were in Hawaii.

Noah's favorite exhibit...the zoo truck!!!

 He did take some time to look at the animals, too.

 The flowers were just beautiful!

 What did he find...

 A construction site! A new elephant exhibit is in the works.

 A siamang

 Noah being a siamang.

 Noah met a little elephant. He had a lot of fun talking to him.

 This tree was ginormous! See the little tiny Noah just left of the tree?!

 Noah felt the need to do a little cleaning in the gift shop. I'm pretty sure they would have offered him a job if we'd stayed much longer.

 We walked past Waikiki Beach and Noah had a blast watching the surfers.

 This was just too funny to pass up without taking a picture!

Noah had a blast with a rainbow on the floor of a shop. I think we need to find a prism for his bedroom window.

No trip to Honolulu is complete without a stop at Leonard's for some malasadas.  Deep fried dough. Yum!

Hawaii Part 3

We went on a trip to the Dole Plantation one day.

Noah was way more excited about the heavy equipment than the pineapples.

Sad boy can't see the tractor.

Yay! A pineapple harvester!

Koi Madness!!!

Pineapple sundae, of course!

After the pineapple plantation, we made our way out to a beach where there are a lot of sea turtles. We went snorkeling while we were there, but apparently took few pictures. Here's one up on the shore. The imperfection in the shell is the remains of a tracking device.

Hawaii Part 2

We went on a few hikes while we were there. This is on the North Shore.

 Having a blast on the drive to the other side of the island.

Noah calls this "rainbow face". No idea where that came from, but it's cute. I think he's trying to frown.

Horses randomly teathered along the trail.

A strangler plant of some sort that obviously strangled its victim to death.

But oh the views...

Beautiful hike, but unfortunately, the official end of the trial was along a main road. Seriously right on the shoulder. We opted to find a new way back along the water.

A beautiful sunset at the end of the day.
