Daycare was closed last week and Olivia took the week off work. We prepared Noah the week before saying that on Monday he was not going to wear diapers anymore. Come Monday morning, she took his last diaper off and didn't put anything on. He spent Monday and Tuesday pretty much naked from the waist down.
She made this potty chart for him. Each time he made it to the potty in time, he got a sticker. If he got a sticker on a star square, he got to choose a prize from the prize bag.
The prizes were all dollar store toys and books wrapped in tissue paper. He caught onto this really quickly and was excited to get a surprise when he put his sticker on a star. It got to the point where he wanted to skip boxes so he could put the stickers only on stars.
He also got to pick a sticker for his shirt after each successful potty. These were a hit!
By Tuesday morning, he was doing pretty great!
Wednesday we added pants, but no underwear and by Sunday, he'd graduated to super padded underwear and normal clothes.
Sometimes Noah would give us stickers for using the potty as well!

We did have some messes along the way of course, but he was never scolded or punished for them. We just asked him where pee pee was supposed to go and he'd always reply that it needed to go in the potty.
By Sunday night, he was pretty awesome!
We also decided that we were going to go for broke and not diaper him while sleeping either. He wet the bed on the first night, but has been great since. We have put him on the potty in the middle of the night each night, but the other night he refused to go and we didn’t want to fight it, so we let him go back to sleep and he still didn’t wet the bed.
He's been doing great at daycare with pottying, so I think we are coming to the end of an era. Our little boy's growing up!
