The Faces of Noah, Part 2

Yes, he's gagging on some spit up in his mouth. Yum!

A cooing smile.

He looks suspicious.

He's not happy.

Beads and Buttons!

Erik and Deanna gave us this book that their kids loved and Noah can't get enough of it.  His favorite pages are the beads and buttons.  Usually the buttons elicit a smile, but today's expression was even better!

2 month check up

Noah went to the doctor on Friday for his two month check up. His official stats are now 11 lbs. 12 oz., and 22 inches long. That means that he has gained 5 lbs. 2 oz. and 2.5 inches since he was born. Like we've said before, he's a good eater! He also got 3 shots and an oral vaccination. He was not very happy, but it wasn't anything that a few snuggles from Mommy and Daddy couldn't solve.

Here's a picture of him doing his favorite thing during tummy time...eating his hand.

A trip to Hayward Regional Shoreline

Noah made it to East Bay Regional Park #4 today with a trip to the Hayward Regional Shoreline. Victor and Olivia and their friends Andrea and Darren had a great time walking around and looking for wildlife. There were shore birds galore! A great time was had by all.

A trip to the Zoo

Olivia and Noah met up with Enrique, Navi, and Ada at the Oakland Zoo on Thursday. The parents had a great time catching up and the babies enjoyed their time in the fresh air.

Enrique and Olivia got plenty of pained looks from strangers who saw a man and a woman with 3 small babies, but we were quick to point out that we were 2 separate families!

Navi and Ada caught a few quick winks, but Noah stayed awake and alert the entire time with barely a peep to be heard. He's a zoo boy through and through.

Great Adventure at Chimney Rock

What a great afternoon we had today out in the Marin Headlands at Chimney Rock. We decided to branch out of our local regional parks and drive a few hours to see the Ocean. We were rewarded by getting to see an abundance of wildlife and wildflowers. It was a bit windy but we found a few pockets of calm and were able to sit and enjoy.

He smiles!!

Olivia has been trying to capture a Noah smile on camera for a week now and finally succeeded this morning.
Well, that's almost a smile.
That's the end of a smile...Mommy's too slow.
Jackpot!!!

Fun with family

Noah's grandpa and uncle came from Texas to visit and he had a great time.

Look, his hair is growing back in.

Hiking in Huckleberry Botanic Preserve in Oakland. At only 6 weeks, Noah is getting quite the tour of the East Bay Regional Park system.

Noah with Uncle Robert. Anyone have any wallpaper removing tips? That wall looks hideous.

Where's Noah?

Can you find the baby in this picture?

Hiking in Round Valley

We went for a hike yesterday in Round Valley Regional Preserve which is out near Clayton. This park is a known home for both the San Joaquin Kit Fox and the Golden Eagle, but we didn't see either. We did see a ton of cows, 218 ground squirrels, a mother and baby rabbit, a coyote, and an Alameda Whip Snake along with a ton of birds.

Here's Noah learning all about moss from Olivia. "See this moss is super cool because when you put water on it it instantly turns green!"

After a little mid hike snack, Noah needed a diaper change. He loved it!

After the aforementioned snack, Noah also needed a little burping and quiet time with Mommy under the tree.

This was an amazing view. I'm so glad that we found this park and that it's so close to home. We'll definitely be going back!
